What is a parametric equation??
An equation where $x$ and $y$ are defined in terms of a parameter $t$.
How do you work out points for a parametric curve??
Plug in a value for $t$ and see what co-ordinate $(x, y)$ it generates.
How can you convert a parametric curve to a Cartesian one??
Rearrange $x$ or $y$ to $t = …$ and then substitute.
